National Engineers Week 2025
This week our engineering students celebrated National Engineers Week at Wake Forest!
This year’s theme was “Design Your Future”. We held a T-shirt design and video contest throughout the week. On Saturday, February 22nd our engineering students are hosting a “Bed Build” day, assembling beds for the non-profit organization A Bed and a Book.
We had 15 t-shirt designs submitted this year! Votes were cast by pressing a t-shirt with your design of choice in the Wake Downtown lobby throughout the week. The top three design winners are as follows:
1st Place: Ava Killacky, Class of ‘27

2nd Place: Lana Beck, Class of ‘27

3rd Place: Emerson Foley, Class of ‘26

Video submissions were to have one of two themes:
1) Celebrating an impactful WFU Engineering Project, or
2) What it means to be a WFU Engineer
1st Place: Avelina Axonov, Class of ‘25 and Jacob Louie, Class of ’26
