Dr. Wendy Newstetter
Wendy C. Newstetter, a learning and cognitive scientist, is the retired Assistant Dean for Educational Research and Innovation in the College of Engineering at Georgia Tech. As an inaugural member of the biomedical engineering faculty, Dr. Newstetter spearheaded the development of problem-driven learning (PDL) which was awarded the prestigious Gordon Prize for educational innovation by the National Academy of Engineering in 2019. She is currently Co-PI on two Revolutionizing Engineering Departments (RED) grants funded through the National Science Foundation in BME and CEE. She is past Senior Editor of the Journal of Engineering Education.
