Jackson Wall
Jackson Wall is from Spartanburg, SC and is interested in environmental and civil engineering. Wake Forest Engineering helped Jackson cultivate these passions by allowing him to explore a variety of engineering disciplines and experiences working with complex problems that require alternative approaches and creative problem solving. Jackson is a member of the Autonomous Pelagic Profiling System capstone senior design team under the guidance of Dr. Kyle Luthy and Dr. Hunter Bachman (Wake Forest Engineering). The goal of the project was to provide an inexpensive autonomous system for exploration and sensing of marine environments for researchers interested in the first 100 meters of the ocean.
Jackson’s favorite course while enrolled in Wake Engineering was Hydrological Engineering with Dr. Lowman where he studied hydrological issues around Winston-Salem and proposed stormwater control solutions for areas on the Wake Forest Campus. Outside of class Jackson was involved in the Kappa Alpha fraternity and enjoyed participating in philanthropy events such as Wake ‘N Shake and Project Pumpkin. Last summer he completed a warehouse operations management internship with Poolcorp.
Upon graduation, Jackson plans to pursue a position in civil engineering.
