Skilled Craft and Fabrication Studio
The Skilled Craft & Fabrication Studio
Located in Room 0901, this studio specializes in powerful manufacturing equipment that includes both saws and CNCs. Here, students can manipulate materials in three dimensions to create their own designs. All of the materials are sourced sustainably from the university’s retired furniture, including dorm bed frames, wooden doors, and metal bracing. Additionally, much of the wood comes from already-removed campus trees, ensuring that the university’s resources are directly supporting student learning and innovation across their entire life cycle.
