Claire Griffin is currently an associate engineer at Avangrid Networks, a leading sustainable energy company serving 3.3 million electric and natural gas customers in the Northeast. Claire was a member of the inaugural graduating class in Engineering at Wake Forest University, where she minored in Latin American and Latinx Studies, and was a Presidential Scholar for Achievement in Violin Performance. Her capstone project at Wake Forest involved developing and testing a commercial prototype for a low-cost, high efficiency solar thermal device in collaboration with the Wake Forest Center for Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials, and in connection with which she co-authored an article published in the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy. In her current role at Avangrid Networks, Claire works on a team developing proposals for competitive transmission projects to facilitate renewable energy adoption.
