Connor Moody

Connor Moody is from Fort Lauderdale, FL and has an interest in construction projects.  During his time in Wake Forest Engineering, Connor has had the opportunity to find his passion in civil and environmental engineering and has worked to further his knowledge of engineering as a whole.  Connor is a member of the Promoting Electric Propulsion capstone senior design team.  During the past year, he and his team has worked under the guidance of Dr. William Crowe, Dr. Hunter Bachman, and Dr. Kyle Luthy (Wake Forest Engineering) to design an electrically propelled watercraft to complete a five-mile race within a given budget.  In addition to his senior design work, Connor has worked for Sintavia as a process engineering intern, redesigning floor plans in AutoCAD and developing a new material storage system.

Connor has been an active member of the Wake Forest Community, collaborating with Sense the City, a team of individuals interested in establishing safety on public walkways around Winston-Salem and eventually presented his team’s findings to citywide stakeholders.  He has worked on a variety of projects during his time in Wake Forest Engineering, but his favorite memory is the time he volunteered working with the individuals of Sense the City.
